How did I get into making dolls?

I love doing with my hands. I was interested in the field of sculpture and ceramics. On the Internet, I saw a lot of different photos and invitations to doll exhibitions. The dolls of the masters are so different and different in style! And so I began to study the history of dolls from different eras. First came the love for porcelain dolls, French, German, etc. And then the history of wooden dolls of the 16th - 18th centuries was already revealed. The history of wooden dolls was mysterious for me, because these dolls were not only toys, they carried out various missions. A doll is a mystery, a magical phenomenon. And so I wanted to learn how to make wooden dolls. And I'm self-taught. I looked at various photos and diagrams on the Internet, so I decided at my own risk to try it myself.
